“By the time I was on my second day at Ace Hardware, I found that I understood the directions, and didn’t need help anymore,” Branden explained. “My experience at Orion showed me that I can process information and learn the details of a new job quickly!”
Orion mentors receive training to help them identify the best teaching methods for each individual. The mentors understand that everyone learns in their own way. “Working with a mentor made me feel comfortable when asking for assistance,” Branden said. “As I gained experience communicating became easier.”

While with Orion Branden received training in Mechanical Assembly, Bonding, Inventory, and CNC Mills. Once Branden had completed the training he worked with his Orion Employment Consultant, Haylee Park, who helped him locate a position with Ace Hardware.
“Orion prepared me for my job at Ace Hardware,” Branden said. “Orion gave me my first real job experience, which was phenomenal. Through the training program I discovered that I am capable of adapting to different situations, which helped me build the confidence I needed. ”
