Our training offers hands on learning of custodial skills and basic facilities maintenance. You will receive 1:1 Custodial training in a manufacturing and office environment, no experience necessary.
Our training offers hands on learning of custodial skills and basic facilities maintenance. You will learn
- general office/floor/restroom cleaning protocol and techniques
- general safety and clean-up knowledge
- experience using tools/equipment/materials typical for custodial tasks
Orion contracts with third parties for sponsorship so our trainees pay nothing to participate in courses. Participants earn minimum wage while enrolled in the training program.
Training hours are Monday – Thursday Second Shift
Instruction typically lasts from eight to twelve weeks, depending on the program and individual.
Custodial work is physical in nature. Participants should be able to stand, bend and stoop. The work requires constant use of one’s hands.
Her approach to training begins by meeting the individual where they are and appreciating that not everything works for every person. She remarked, “You have to have a process to get to know where people need to get the most help.”
